Additionally, confirm that your installation of Office 2016 & OS X are fully updated. I'd suggest that you first use Font Book to Validate the font & confirm that you don't have duplicates of it. If Word is substituting a different font it may be that your copy of Bank Gothic is damaged in some way. Apple's reasons for hiding this font have notīeen made public, but licensing reasons have been suggested as the cause. It may be installed for general use by copying the font files out of their location with other application supportįiles, and installing them in the same way as third-party fonts. IDVD, it is not made available to all programs as with other fonts. Mac OS X contains a Bank Gothic release in Light and Medium weights. However, it isn't intended for standard document production according to this Wikipedia quote: Bank Gothic isn't a Microsoft font, it's supplied by Apple with OS X.
